* 5 pounds bone-in chicken thighs with skin
* 1 cup soy sauce
* 1 cup white sugar
* 1 cup water
* 4 tbsp minced garlic
* 4 tbsp minced fresh ginger
* 4 tbsp chopped green onions

Step1: Heat a large stock pot over medium heat.
Step2: Add sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and water.
Step3: Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium-low.
Step4: Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Step5: Place chicken in the stock pot.
Step6: Turn chicken frequently by using long handle tongs.
Step7: Cook for 30 minutes or until no longer pink at the bone and all juices run clear.
Step8: Sauce will turn into a rich, brown glaze.
